EduCare 5.0 offers partner organisations collaboration in developing and implementing new technologies and educational formats for health and care. Today the most direct ways to take part are the open programmes of DigiCare Innovation, a project of EduCare 5.0 partners funded under the EIT Higher Education Initiative.
Start-ups: validate your solution in a European HealthTech testbed
The DigiCare Innovation Accelerator is a nine-month programme for healthtech and digital health start-ups at pre-seed or seed stage, with a technology at Technology Readiness Level 4 or above. Participation is free for selected start-ups; the programme does not provide direct funding. Start-ups validate their solutions with clinicians, researchers, patients and end users in testbeds run by alliance partners:
- CalmXR at UIC Barcelona: digital mental health and immersive technologies
- LivingLab in Iași, run by UMF Iași with the Regional Institute of Oncology Iași and GreenSoft: digital oncology care
- KogniHome at HSBI in Bielefeld: smart living, healthy ageing and remote monitoring
Professionals: become a mentor
The DigiCare Innovation Mentoring Program matches students, early-career researchers and professionals with mentors from universities, start-ups, clinical practice and healthcare organisations. Mentors offer real-world insight into innovation, research and entrepreneurship.
